Belgian Studbook of the Arabian Horse
Broken at 4.5 yo, Abou ran his first endurance race two months later under the saddle of Davy Verhaeghe in 2014. He got his national qualifications in the span of two years (from 30 to 80 km) by always ending in the top 5, often on the podium or winning.
He took part in the Belgian Young Horses Championship each year.
In 2014, he became the Belgian Champion of 5yo - 60km.
In 2015, he became the Belgian Vice-Champion of 6yo and received the Prize for Best Recuperation - 80 km.
In 2016, he also became the Belgian Vice-Champion of 7yo and received the Prize for Best Recuperation - 90 km.
Still in 2016, he finished 3rd at his first International show (90km) at an average speed of 19.33 km. He was the second 7yo horse to finish the difficult race of Brussels for his first CEI* - 120 km.
In 2017, he ends up 9th at the CEI* of Pamiers at an average speed of 19,83 km/h (he was leading a young horse) under the saddle of Karin Boulanger.
In 2018, for the first race of the year, he easily qualified for the CEI** 120km of Fontainebleau at an average speed above 16km/h and very good recuperation times. He galloped through the finish line, completely dry !
