Canturo is the last approved son of the unforgettable showjumping star Cantus, leading sire of the famous international lineage of Holstein 162. Like pearls on a necklace, his genes are a sequence of big names in the Holstein breeding world : the sire of his dam is Calando I, German Champion in 1984. Above that is the brilliant Landego and then the thoroughbreds Pannier and Manomètre.
His performances are impressive : 57 rankings in CSIO, CSI***** and World Cup with, among others : Winner of the European Grand Prix in Aachen - Winner of the CSI5 oinMadrid - 2nd of the King's Cup of the CSI4 in Madrid - 2nd of the Grand Prix in Rotterdam - 2nd of the Grand Prix CSI4* of Hamburg - 2nd of the Grand Prix in Wiesbaden - 2nd of the Grand Prix World Cup in Vigp - 2nd of the Grand Prix World Cup in Dubai - 6th of the final, World Games 2006 - Olympic Games in Athens at age 9.
Canturo is sire to more than 200 CSI winners. He is the 29th best stallion in the world. His offspring shine in the biggest stables in the world and are very popular during European auctions.
His son Good Luck was a double medalist in the European Championships of Göteborg in 2017 under the saddle of the Irish Cian O’Connor. He won gold during the team competition and bronze in the individual one.
He also produced stars at international level, such as :
