This superb stallion is full of energy and brings everything that breeders need when it comes to sport performances and modernity : movement, ground covering, reactivity, character and aesthetics.
At the age of 2, Grafenstolz won a first prize. At 5, as soon as he launched his sports career, he showed how versatile he his as he won various dressage and showjumping competitions. At 6, he became part of German dressage history by becoming the first horse to ever qualify for finals in dressage, jumping and eventing shows during the same year! He won the eventing one with an average score of 9.7 out of 10. That same year, he became World Champion of young eventing horse at Lion d’Angers. At 7 years old, he won at national level in Germany (eventing) for the first time. At 8, he won bronze medal at the German Championship and then ranked in 2 international shows 2*. In November, he won the title of best Trakehner horse of 2006. In 2007 and 2008, he won the CCI of Compiègne and took part in various showjumping competitions and 2m-high puissances. In December 2009, Grafenstolz performed his first Prix St Georges, which he won with a score of 69%.
Grafenstolz's sire, Polarion, had a great career as an athlete and a sire. In 2000, aged 7, Polarion won dressage competitions at S level and received the title of Germany Champion of the Trakehner stud book. Since then, he won prizes in World Cup (freestyle) with Markus Gribbe as his rider.
With an average score of 8.2 for his first breeding season, Grafenstolz ranked first of all stallions in the German State of Bade-Wurtemberg, which made him the best young stallion. Throughout his career as a sire, his offspring received scores above average.
